Clinics & Services
Practice Nurses
During their clinic sessions our practice nurses carry out nursing procedures such as ear syringing, blood pressure checks and removal of sutures. They have an important role in health promotion and perform various screening tests, they can also advise on slimming, breast examination and contraception. They are responsible for the call and recall of ladies for cervical smear tests, which we recommend every 3 years.
Asthmatic and diabetic patients should attend our nurse’s clinic for regular check-ups to ensure that their conditions are as well controlled as possible.
Adults may attend for routine vaccinations or travel immunisations. We strongly advise that you make an initial clinic appointment at least 2 months before you are due to travel (more information can be found on the above tab).
Any patient is welcome to make an appointment with the practice nurse if they have a health problem or concern. For an appointment please ring the receptionist during opening hours.
Immunisations - Babies and Children
It is very important that your child receives a full course of injections against several diseases. Below is the schedule for the course of vaccinations. You will be informed when you child’s vaccination is due.
